What a delivered file looks like
The layout below is exactly what arrives. The businesses in it are not real — they use the reserved .example domain, because publishing invented companies that look real is its own small dishonesty.
File structure
14 columns per business in a fixed order. The rows below show the shape and the kind of value each field carries.

What comes with it
An email with a signed download link, valid for thirty days, and a short quality report: how many leads you asked for, how many were delivered, and what was excluded because you had it already.
How to read the quality report
The report answers one question — did you get what you paid for — and deliberately not much else. It states how many leads you requested, how many were delivered, and how many candidates were dropped because your own suppression file already contained them.
If delivered is lower than requested, the difference has already been refunded by the time you read it. You do not need to ask, and there is nothing to claim.
Importing the file
Column order is fixed and does not change between orders, so an import mapping you build once keeps working for every future file.
- Match on
- Use email as the unique key for contacts, and place_id when you want to deduplicate businesses against a later LeadProof order — email can change, the listing identifier does not.
- Watch the types
- rating arrives as a decimal and reviews as an integer. Spreadsheet software will occasionally reformat a ZIP with a leading zero into a number; import as text if that matters to you.
- Empty cells
- Blank means we did not find it, never that we guessed. Address components are the usual gaps.
What to check on your first file
Ten minutes here is worth more than any assurance we could write on this page.
- Open five rows at random and click the google_maps_url. It should land on the business you were expecting.
- Check the category column against what you searched. Approximate matching means the edges of a broad search can drift into an adjacent trade.
- Confirm the geography is the territory you meant, not a same-named place elsewhere.
- Send to a small batch before the whole file. Every address was confirmed deliverable at build time, but a cautious first send is simply good practice with any list.
Why there is no free sample file here
A pre-built sample would be a stored file, which is exactly the thing this product is not. Any file we could hand you today was built for someone else, in a category and city that probably are not yours.
