CRM suppression

Upload what you already own and it will not be in the file you buy. This page explains what gets matched, and the two design choices that keep it from going wrong.

What gets matched

Attach a CSV export at checkout — any export with recognisable columns. We match on three things and exclude anything that hits.

  • Email address, exactly
  • Business domain, so a different mailbox at a company you already own is still excluded
  • Phone number, normalised, which catches accounts whose email you never captured

On 2026-07-26 we built a 10-lead local business list in a US metro with a 50+ Google review bar, and delivered 10 of 10.

Why domain matching matters more than email matching

Your CRM has office@acme.example. The build finds hello@acme.example. On email matching alone that is a new lead, and your rep discovers otherwise on the call.

Matching the domain treats the company as the unit, which is what an account actually is.

The free-provider exception

Consumer mail domains — gmail, yahoo, outlook and the rest — are never used as domain exclusions. If they were, one contact in your CRM on a Gmail address would silently exclude every business in the run that uses Gmail, which in local business is a great many of them.

So those rows still suppress by exact address and by phone, just never by domain. Without this exception the feature would quietly destroy the orders it was meant to improve.

It fails closed

If your file cannot be read — unreachable, malformed, wrong shape — the build stops and nothing is delivered. It does not proceed without suppression and hand you possible duplicates.

That is the right trade in one direction only: a stopped run is an inconvenience, while a duplicate in an outbound campaign is an email to someone who is already your customer.

What happens to your file

Deleted as soon as the order is fulfilled. It is a customer list you handed us to protect you from us, and keeping it afterwards would be the opposite of the point. Processing is included up to 5,000 rows; larger files carry a $5, $15 or $40 processing fee by size.

Questions

What format should the export be?
CSV, with columns we can recognise as email, domain or phone. We count the rows and validate the columns before checkout, so you see what will be used.
Can I suppress from HubSpot or Salesforce?
Yes — export the accounts or contacts to CSV and upload it. We do not connect to the CRM directly.
Do you keep my CRM export?
No. It is deleted once your order is fulfilled.
Does suppression cost extra?
Not for typical exports. Very large files carry a processing fee that is shown before you pay.
